Call for entries to the Water Industry Film Shorts competition

Water Industry TV invite you to submit short video portraits (no longer than 5 minutes) of your water sector research projects and the challenges they are seeking to address. The video competition and accompanying award ceremony aim to build awareness about the challenges facing the world’s water systems ahead of COP26, tell your water stories, help propel the water industry into the digital age, and show how the research community is driving us towards solutions.

Dates to remember:

15th Mar: Competition Opens

15th May: Competition Closes

4th June: Award Ceremony – Winners Announced

Who can submit a video?

The competition is open to absolutely anyone, whether you are a professional in the industry, a student, or just a water industry enthusiast.

What should my video be about?

They want to see videos of your water projects, Top Ops tapping, pump stripping, fixes and more. They want community water stories from the developed to the developing world, COVID/lockdown working and of course innovation! The latest and best offerings to the sector, or the best in customer engagement.

With such a broad subject they have come up with some examples to help you get the ball rolling:

– Water Operations
– Women in Water
– COVID stories
– Community and Water
– Technology and Innovation in Water
– Research projects

Please don’t feel limited by these – they want to see anything you can think of, make it your own. Be creative! Check out their videos page and YouTube Channel to see other entries and get a clearer idea of what they’re looking for, or click on the following link to see the introduction video: Water Industry Film Shorts.

How do I enter the competition?

To enter the film shorts contest simply upload your video to your own YouTube channel and send the link to info@waterindustrytv.com. Alternatively you can email the video directly to them. From there they will upload it onto their channel.

When is my video due?

The competition closes on May 15th 2021, so make sure to get your entries in before then. They will be hosting a ceremony during the World Water Congress event on June 4th 2021 where the  winners will be announced. You can click the link below to register for the World Water Congress event.
