Young Professionals’ Network

Are you new to the water industry and at an early stage in your career?

Would you like to network with people who are at a similar stage in their career development?

If so, you, and are an IWater member, then you will be supported by our Young Professionals’ Network!

Young Professionals’ Network (YPN)

Many young professionals involved in a professional body can find the experience quite daunting. Our purpose is to help you navigate the various opportunities available to you and introduce you to a network that will support you through your professional development.

Whether you want to get professionally registered, gain industry knowledge, or just meet other young people in the industry, the YPN is the right place for you to start getting involved.

History of the YPN

The YPN was officially launched at the 2019 Annual Conference in Belfast, as we welcomed and encouraged young people to become involved with IWater.

Our Aim is:

“To engage with individuals from a range of academic and vocational backgrounds at the start of their careers in order to develop a fundamental knowledge of the water industry, the wider sector and the opportunities that exist within, whilst further diversifying IWater’s membership population.”

Upcoming YPN Events:

YPN events are a great opportunity to meet fellow young water professionals within the Institute of Water and get to know your local YPN representative.

Hear from our Young Professionals’ Network

“I joined the Institute of Water and Young Persons’ Network to learn more about the water sector, build meaningful relationships, promote Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and have fun whilst doing all of this. Happy to say, I’ve made significant headway with all my goals – really grateful to IWater and the YPN for all my growth!”

Abu Rashid, Market Improvement Lead and EDI Lead at MOSL
