David Hinton - Board Member

Our Board is ultimately responsible for the running of IWater and currently comprises our Chief Executive and 11 Non-Executive Directors, all of whom are volunteers and members of the Institute of Water.

Chief Executive, South East Water

David’s career began in the field of food and water microbiology consultancy and research.

Having moved into the commercial laboratory of Mid Southern Water in 1994 he has progressed through the company and its subsequent mergers to oversee 4 Price Reviews and led a number of Directorates covering Asset Investment, Water Quality, Water Resources, and Regulation and Strategy.

David has been a Board member of South East Water since 2013 and Chief Executive Officer since 2020. David has an MBA from Surrey University. David has been a member of IWater for most of his career.
