As Scottish Area’s IWater Rising Star for 2022, Abbie expanded her knowledge of the water sector by networking with and learning from a diverse range of industry professionals. It was during this time that she gained confidence in the value of sharing her input as a young professional, which resonates with IWater’s non-hierarchical approach to supporting the careers of its members.
Abbie has always been passionate about amplifying the voices of young water professionals across the UK, which was her motivation for becoming Scotland’s Young Professionals’ Network rep in 2023 and now fuels her ambition to fill the Young Professional role on the IWater Board.
