Membership Fees

2024 changes to membership fees

At our recent Annual General Meeting members approved the following fee increase recommendations. Student Members and Technician Members who renew next year will renew at £30 and £55. Members who apply for a concession rate, such as retired, will be charged the 2023 rate of £50.

All other membership grades will renew with a less than the cost of inflation rise of 6%. For an Associate Member, this equals 58p a month, for Corporate Members 67p a month and for Fellows 75p a month.

In making these changes for 2024, we have tried to balance our own increased costs in delivering and developing quality services for all our members with supporting members who may be least able to absorb extra financial burden on their day-to-day costs.

For members who hold a professional registration, your registration fees will increase in line with your relevant licensing body (Engineering Council, Science Council or Society for the Environment).
